Essential Skills
|

Duties
|
- Support the CIO through the provision of high level strategic advice, information and direction on ICT business applications trends, policies and outcomes.
- Lead and manage the co-ordination and delivery of allocated program of work, typically involving the delivery of complex projects programs, which comply with QT ICT architectural standards and are delivered according to the Divisional and departmental project management methodologies.
- Identify and provide innovation solutions to complex project problems in relation to delivery of allocated program of work and branch services in general.
- Develop, action and create the budget allocated to projects under your management, and be fully accountable for project outcomes.
- Develop create and maintain a high level of client focus and a commitment to quality customer service amongst branch staff.
Liaise and consult with clients and vendors ensuring adequate and appropriately confirmed outcomes are determined and
actionable
- Direct and assist IMD project managers to ensure individual projects meet milestones and deliver predicted outcomes.
Establish and ensure an on-going communication strategy with project sponsors (or their delegates) to raise awareness of project issues which affect their Program.
- Highlight and recommend solutions to other strategic management issues which impact the successful delivery of IMD
projects? Provide management and leadership to project directors covering operational and strategic planning, workflow, staff performance and change management activities.
- Develop Business Unit plans and monitor and report progress against those plans to the Chief Information Officer also advising the Director Strategic Initiatives.
- Partner with Business Infrastructure, Business Services, Finance and Contracts and Strategy & Architecture to ensure that a holistic view of requirements and solutions is achieved in the delivery of projects undertaken by the Information Management Branch.
- Develop innovative ideas and options for improved Business Applications outcomes by analysing data, identifying options and recommending sustainable systems and development enhancements.
- Proactively manage all aspects of staff performance management including recruitment and selection, appraising and developing staff, ethical behaviour and decision making.
- Provide safe and healthy workplaces through the provision of sufficient resources to comply with workplace health and safety and employee rehabilitation legislation, codes of practice, standards and departmental policy and procedures including risk management and corrective action programs

Salary Range
|
SO2 - $3691.70 to $3847.40 gross per fortnight
