Your exceptional communication and administration skills will ensure your success in the role as you:

  • Provide efficient and effective service in an administrative setting, including the ability to plan, organise and prioritise your work effectively and efficiently to achieve required outputs and meet required deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively, using both verbal and non verbal communication skills to deal with a broad range of clients.
  • Acquire knowledge of legislation, practices and procedures.
  • Use computer software programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel and be able to quickly learn new computer based programs.
  •  Work effectively with others in a team and independently. 

Duties

Your days will be busy and varied as you:
  • Administer client files in accordance with the established policies and procedures.
  • Interview clients face to face for the purpose of obtaining or providing information or seeking or receiving instructions.
  • Communicate with clients and families, professional persons and external agencies via the phone, at face to face meetings and in written correspondence such as notes and records including the use of form letters, drafting letters and scheduling appointments.
  • Use the Client Information Management System (CIMS) to input and extract data.
  • Prepare basic budgets, Statements of Account and Instruct Statements of Advice for clients.
  • Receipting and making payments for clients.
  • Provide administrative services as directed by your manager, such as photocopying, faxing, mail collection and delivery, filing.
  • Undertake reception and cashiering duties and attend to client enquiries.
  • Work within established government guidelines, procedures and legislation applicable to our work.
  • Follow office policy to ensure an equitable, healthy and safe work environment free from discrimination where client confidentiality is respected.
