About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to head up a dynamic,
on-site technical department for their
state-of-the-art facilities located at Yatala and
Carole Park.
You will work alongside a team of passionate
people committed to maintaining a world class
standard of product and safety. Your time will be
shared between two sites (Yatala and Carole Park)
and a vehicle will be provided.
The role combines your skills and qualifications
across quality, compliance, continuous improvement
and laboratory management with provision of
technical expertise.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure safety,
environmental and GMP practices meet strict
guidelines
- Manage an
established Quality and Environmental system
(ISO / HACCP), coupled with strategic
improvements and innovation
- Drive strategies
for continuous improvement and world class
manufacturing standards (5S and GMP)
- Manage
laboratory testing to ensure compliance of
product and raw materials. Analyse data trends
for improvement and initiative corrective
action.
- Control
departmental key performance indicator
feedback to stakeholders (ensuring information
is relevant and continuous improvement
focussed)
- Design and
implement business imporvement trials
(including raw material and product)
- Manage the
internal audit system (including scheduling,
corrective action and third/second party
compliance audits and follow-up action)
- Provide ongoing
staff training to promote safety, quality and
departmental knowledge (and maintain records)
- Drive team
strategies for career opportunities and
succession planning
- Assess all
facets of business operations to identify
improvement opportunities
- Build and
maintain stakeholder relationships (such as
site visits, conducting tours and attending
review meetings as required)
- Support
stakeholders in the development and design of
innovative products that meet the needs of
production, the marketplace and future
direction
About You
To be considered for this role, we are seeking the
following skills and experience:
- Quality
Management / Technical experience
(manufacturing industry preferred)
- Applied Science
or Engineering qualification (or similar)
preferred but not essential providing that you
have equivalent industry experience
- Proven skills in
Systems Management (ISO) and knowledge of
applicable standards
- Strong technical
skills (MS Office and system software)
